Your body is an intelligent system with both hardware and software.
Over time, emotions, traumas, and experiences get stuck and disrupt the natural flow of information. This starts a positive feedback loop that furthers dysregulation and dysfunction.
The stuck emotions disrupt the flow of information and warp our thoughts, the thoughts lead to more emotions, and the emotions start to change the way the brain prioritizes the functions of the hardware in our bodies.
Breathwork is a somatic practice that brings everything up to the surface so that we can face it instead of feel faint echos under layers of suppression. It activates the system so that when the pieces fall back in place, we can decide how we want to organize them.
Somatic Release Breathwork incorporates circular connected breathing coupled with rhythmic music intended to produce emotional expression. This expression may be in the form of moving, shaking, yelling, crying, or laughing (among others). The expression can serve as a release of everything stuck and bottled up that is otherwise inappropriate to reveal in public settings in our society.
