Let’s get to know each other and see if breathwork is the right fit!

Somatic release breathwork

Somatic Release Breathwork is an embodiment experience. It takes you out of your thinking mind and into your body’s electrical network. The method facilitates release of unneeded energy, which may be caused by repeating thoughts, feelings, and old narratives, by discharging out through your body.

The session employs circular connected breathing coupled with rhythmic music intended to produce a cathartic emotional release. This release may be in the form of moving, shaking, yelling, crying, or laughing (among others). Using the breath, you may engage your innate ability to heal and sweep out defenses, blockages, restrictions, or pains that are holding you back.

Contraindications for Somatic Release Breathwork (if any of these apply, please reach out to discuss):

Breathwork can result in intense physical and emotional release; therefore, it is not recommended for individuals with a history of:

  • History of Seizures

  • Cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack

  • High blood pressure (untreated)

  • Glaucoma

  • Retinal detachment

  • Osteoporosis

  • Significant recent physical injuries or surgery.

  • Severe Mental Illness

  • Major Medications

When in doubt, we recommend discussing your concerns with your primary care physician and mental health support team (for instances related to mental illness).
